Dubai Optical — Shipping Policy

1. Order Processing

Paid orders received before 14:00 (GST), Sunday–Thursday, are packed the same day. Orders after 14:00 or on UAE public holidays ship the next working day.

Quality check

Every frame is inspected for scratches, alignment, and accessories (case, cloth, warranty card) before dispatch.

Pre-orders / prescriptions

Custom-made lenses or back-order items add +2-5 working days. We e-mail you if production will exceed 5 days.

 


 

 

2. Shipping Options & Fees

3. Tracking & Notifications

 

 

  • A tracking link is e-mailed (and WhatsApp-messaged) the moment your parcel leaves our warehouse.

  • Live status updates include picked up, in transit, out for delivery, and delivered.

  • Same-Day Dubai deliveries send real-time rider GPS once out for delivery.

 

 


 

 

4. Customs, Duties & Taxes

VAT & duty collected by the courier on delivery at local rates (e.g., Saudi 15 % VAT + 5 % duty).

Local VAT/import taxes collected by DHL/FedEx prior to delivery.

Payable by customer.

We cannot mark orders as “gift” or undervalue invoices.

 


 

 

5. Delivery Attempts & Undeliverable Packages

 

 

  • Couriers make two attempts.

  • If both fail, the shipment returns to us; we notify you and can reship (additional fee) or refund minus actual shipping cost.

 

 


 

 

6. Remote & PO-Box Addresses

 

 

  • PO-Boxes: Only serviced for UAE Standard Shipping.

  • Remote islands or special zones may incur a surcharge or require pickup from the nearest courier hub. We’ll contact you if applicable.

 

 


 

 

7. Split Shipments & Out-of-Stock Items

 


Occasionally, items ship from different Dubai Optical branches to accelerate delivery. You incur no extra cost; tracking numbers are provided for each parcel.

 


 

 

8. Packaging & Insurance

 

 

  • Sunglasses and optical frames ship in original brand packaging inside a crush-proof Dubai Optical box.

 

 


 

 

9. Address Changes & Order Edits

 


E-mail support@dubaioptical.com (please include your order number) or WhatsApp +971 4 591 6860 before your order is marked “Shipped.” After dispatch, rerouting is subject to courier approval and any extra courier fees.

 


 

 

10. Holidays & Peak Seasons

 


During Ramadan, Eid, and end-of-year sales, please allow +1-2 working days processing due to volume.
